Christchurch Infant School

Religious Education

At Christchurch Infant School, we aim to develop the children’s spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.

Christchurch Infant School is a community school, therefore we deliver Religious Education in line with ‘The agreed syllabus for Religious Education for Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole’ and by using ‘Jigsaw RE’ to develop an understanding of sense of belonging and learn about and from different religions, beliefs and traditions.

In Religious Education, we encourage the children at Christchurch Infants to consider their own beliefs and be considerate, tolerant and respectful of the beliefs of others and to ask questions about different religions, traditions and cultures around the world.  The Jigsaw RE scheme is progressive and adopts a creative enquiry-based approach to teaching and learning.
